Bridal Diaries – My Wedding Moodboard

Paper and Knots

With just 139 days to go until the big day, it’s really exciting seeing our visions starting to come together – and none more for me than our wedding stationery (obvs!). This morning I sent my designs off to the printers for proofing. Anyone who designs will know what an exciting stage of the process this is and, to add to that, it’s for your own wedding.  Yep, about to burst right now! Although most people find it hard to believe, I’d never really thought about my wedding stationery (or wedding) until I got engaged – I didn’t want to dream about such things until they became a reality. I wanted my planning and ideas to be based on real places, with real suppliers and a real fiancé – I can dream enough for my clients! I also really wanted Chris to have a say in how we did things, so it was important that we started the planning from the same stage.

When we started talking about the stationery, I was really excited (and a little surprised) that we had quite similar thoughts on how it should look. I’m not going to go into the details of it on this post as I don’t want to spoil the big reveal for when the invites arrive, but to give you a little sneak preview into the look for the day, I’ve added below part of our wedding moodboard. I’ve also included our wedding monogram – this took no less than 65 versions to nail down! I’ll have you know, it wasn’t me asking for 0.1mm adjustments on the heights and angles to get it right – it turns out my hardest client to date is my fiancé ;) But actually I secretly loved that he wanted everything to be perfect too!

I hope you like the moodboard and wonder if you have any ideas of what I’ll do!

That’s all for now, just a short one today. I can’t wait to return with the full stationery to share with you. Ahem, no pressure!

Lots of love and excitable grins!
